James Martin McCalmont

James Martin McCalmont (1847 – 2 February 1913) was a British Army officer and Conservative politician.
McCalmont was the second son of James McCalmont of Abbeylands, Belfast. He was educated at Eton and joined the 8th Hussars. He reached the rank of Colonel and was A.D.C. to The Duke of Marlborough, Viceroy of Ireland.〔(Debretts Guide to the House of Commons 1886 )〕
McCalmont was elected Member of Parliament for Antrim East at the 1885 general election. He held the seat until his death at the age of 66.
